Isolated Cerebral Mucormycosis Mimicking Meningioma in an Uncontrolled Diabetic Patient: A Case Report.

In a poorly controlled diabetic patient, isolated cerebral mucormycosis can mimic a meningioma on magnetic resonance imaging. The absence of a dural attachment at surgery was the first clue against meningioma, and histopathology was diagnostic. Early resection, antifungal therapy, and glycemic control were associated with a favorable outcome.
