Comment on ‘Patients with acute and chronic spontaneous urticaria have similar autoantibody profiles: CHAPEAU pilot study’

We read with great pleasure the recent article by Bonnekoh et al. in the British Journal of Dermatology. This article opens a new path to a better understanding of the urticaria pathophysiology and the possible clinical implications of measuring auto-IgG or auto-IgE in patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria. Based on their conclusions, we want to discuss two aspects that may deserve further consideration.
