Honorary Fellow Recognition of Pharmacists in Critical Care.

Honorary Fellow status is among the highest recognitions granted by professional societies and signifies sustained contributions to clinical practice, scholarship, leadership, and advancement of a specialty. This recognition was awarded to pharmacists soon after it became available to members of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. The percentage of pharmacists receiving honorary Fellow designation by the Society of Critical Care Medicine currently exceeds that of the organization's general membership. However, Fellow recognition of pharmacists in other critical care organizations demonstrates room for improvement.
