Sexual and Physical Intimate Partner Violence Among Women in Türkiye

The aim of this study is to determine the factors associated with women’s exposure to both physical and sexual violence from their intimate partners during the survey period in Türkiye using the bivariate probit regression analysis. Age, health status, number of children, household income level, economic violence at any time in life, education level of the intimate partner, cheating of intimate partner were found to be associated with exposure to both physical and sexual IPV. The findings of the study will contribute significantly to the authorities regarding the measures to be taken by the state and all other institutions.
