<i>‘We Need to Be on the Same Page’</i> : Survivor-Informed Recommendations for Interagency Collaboration for Commercially Sexually Exploited Youth in the United States

This study examined stakeholder perspectives on addressing systemic gaps in care for youth survivors of commercial sexual exploitation (CSEY). Focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with law enforcement, clinicians, social workers, and survivors identified themes on interagency data-sharing, professional training, and survivor relocation. Findings highlight the need for coordinated, trauma-informed systems that reduce re-traumatization and strengthen cross-sector collaboration. By informing ethical data-sharing protocols, targeted training, and survivor-centered placement policies, this study supports the advancement of just, peaceful, and inclusive societies in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16 and promotes gender equity consistent with Goal 5.
