Digital transformation readiness is a key prerequisite for manufacturing industries that must address both digital and green transitions. This research presents a digital transformation readiness framework tailored to the woodworking industry, integrating technological, organizational, human, and sustainability dimensions. The framework was developed using a two-stage research design consisting of a systematic literature review and exploratory factor analysis. The literature review identified variables associated with digital transformation, organizational barriers, and sustainability, while factor analysis clarified their underlying structure. Four interrelated dimensions emerged: digital operational and technological maturity, organizational digital transformation capability, organizational barriers to digital transformation, and readiness for sustainability. The results show that readiness for digital transformation is determined by the interaction between these dimensions, and not only by the adoption of technology. The digital transformation readiness framework provides a conceptual framework for understanding digital transformation readiness in the woodworking industry and lays the foundation for future empirical validation and the development of measurement instruments.
