A single crystal of 3-(3-(pyridin-3-yl)ureido) benzoic acid (PUB) was successfully obtained in ethanol. The formation of PUB was confirmed using SXRD. Non-linear optical applications of PUB require no absorption between 200 and 1000 nm and maximum transmittance across the visible band. The PUB hardness and laser damage threshold were used to determine the mechanical stability. The particle-size-dependent nonlinearity has evaluated, confirming the presence of phase matching. The hysteresis loop had coercive field and remnant polarization values of 0.423 µC/cm2 and 3.068 kV/cm, respectively. Piezoelectricity was verified by calculating the coefficient of piezoelectric charge as 5.19 pC/N.
