Objective: To assess how U.S. college campuses implement alcohol-involved sexual violence (AISV) prevention programming. Participants: Semi-structured virtual interviews were conducted with 29 staff across 18 campuses responsible for alcohol and sexual violence (SV) prevention. Methods: Using rapid-qualitative analysis, thematic analysis, and consensus-based techniques, we sought to understand universities' approaches to AISV prevention. Results: (1) Alcohol and SV prevention education are siloed; (2) AISV prevention education was almost exclusively covered during incoming student orientation only; (3) Formal university prevention infrastructure for alcohol, SV, and AISV is generally lacking; (4) Alcohol and SV prevention efforts are dependent on informal collaborations. Schools that consistently implemented AISV prevention programming had high levels of interdepartmental communication, collaborations with community organizations, and high student involvement. Conclusions: Findings from interviews highlight the disconnect between alcohol and SV prevention programming on college campuses and inform how college campuses could more effectively coordinate and integrate AISV into prevention efforts.
