This bibliometric study analyzes e-fairness, trade law and information system (IS) governance in electronic commerce with focus on risk minimization, technology infrastructure, and normative conduct. Via VOS viewer for keyword co-occurrence and thematic clustering, seven streams of research are identified: digital platforms and legal compliance; risk management frameworks; technical infrastructure; data privacy; trading law compliance; AI-driven monitoring, and cross-border concerns. The results indicate that legitimacy of governance, cybersecurity, and automated compliance contribute to financial soundness and legal compliance. The newly developed AI and algorithmic auditing refine in-time monitoring, predictive risk assessment, and the stakeholders’ confidence. The research closes the gap between conceptual models and practical reality for policymakers, platform operators, and the legal community.
