The Ficus genus, a member of the Moraceae family, includes more than 887 species worldwide. Caucho Sabanero (Ficus soatensis Dugand) is an endemic tree to Colombia. The current investigation aims to describe tree height, Diameter at Breast Height (DBH), and canopy dimensions of the venerable Ficus soatensis tree, which is more than 200 years old in Bogotá, Colombia. The tree was photographed and observed from 15 April 2025 to 15 March 2026. The coordinates of the location of the tree were measured with a GPS. The Diameter at Breast Height (DBH), length and width of the canopy were measured using the auto-track distance function of a GPS and a tape measure. Tree height was measured using a manual clinometer. The F. soatensis is more than 200 years old. It has a DBH of 8 metres and is 14 m tall. The canopy is about 7 × 10 metres. The venerable F. soatensis is currently located on 75th Street above Seventh Avenue. However, before 25 July 2010, it was located below Seventh Avenue. The tree was moved 39 metres from its original location due to the construction of a large building. It was moved on 25 July 2010 by using three cranes that were able to lift 200 tonnes each. To date, this tree continues to produce flowers and set fruit in the urban forest of Bogotá City, Colombia.
