Recognising the developments of the sensory turn in social sciences, we argue that acknowledging the centrality of the body in migration processes can bring new theoretical and methodological perspectives, thereby enhancing our understanding of migration. With this special issue, we hope to foster debate on re-centring the body and senses in the context of migration. While only stuttering in the interdisciplinary field of migration studies, this debate is already taking place in various disciplinary areas. This collection of articles aims to provide a platform for scholars to acknowledge the multisensory turn in their works. We firmly believe that this special issue offers a timely and valuable contribution to the field of migration studies, addressing the growing demand for fresh insights regarding the multisensoriality-migration nexus.
