This study examines strengths and weaknesses in sexological education pathways in Poland. Data from 46 in-depth, semi-structured interviews with Polish sexual health professionals were analyzed using inductive thematic analysis. Three themes emerged: insufficient practical training; concerns about course content being outdated, overly theoretical, and sometimes pathologizing or heterocentric; and limited opportunities for self-reflection on personal attitudes and biases. Current training models appear to prioritize theoretical knowledge over clinical skills and ethical self-awareness. Participants recommended updating curricula with contemporary evidence-based and inclusive perspectives, alongside experiential workshops and supervised practical training. These findings may inform the development of improved national and international standards for sexological professionalization.
