A tribute to Annabella Selloni.

This Special Issue of the Journal of Chemical Physics is dedicated to Annabella Selloni to celebrate her remarkable career and her retirement as the David B. Jones Professor of Chemistry from Princeton University. We briefly discuss her scientific career beginning in Italy as a theoretical condensed matter physicist, the transitional period in Switzerland with a shifting research focus, and then establishing herself in the United States as one of the most prominent theorists working on metal oxides. This editorial also introduces the papers contributed to this Special Issue.
