Von der Intensivstation ins neue Zuhause: Fallbericht zur komplexen Behandlung und Reintegration eines Patienten mit Störung der Intelligenzentwicklung und Autismus-Spektrum-Störung

Abstract: This case study illustrates the vulnerability of individuals with intellectual developmental disorders and autism spectrum disorders to crisis situations and severe, life-threatening complications that can arise from the loss of primary caregivers and changes in their environment. With time and a tightly knit network of dedicated caregivers and a multidisciplinary professional team, the patient was accompanied through the serious illness, successfully treated, and ultimately discharged to a new home in order to participate in life once again.
