A novel NIR fluorescent probe, Mito-TZW, was constructed for targeting mitochondria, enabling detection of viscosity changes in biological samples. Mito-TZW was applied to fluorescence imaging of viscosity change in hepatic ischemia-reperfusion cell/tissue models. Mito-TZW provides strong theoretical support for the treatment and prevention of related diseases.
