Nickel-catalyzed coupling reactions of glycosyl bromides and aryl halides were performed using metal-carbon laminates composed of zinc or magnesium metal plates and carbon fiber felts. The metal-carbon laminates act as reducing agents to generate a reactive nickel species and enable the flow synthesis of aryl C-glycosides using a flow reactor.
