Composite ionic polymer BzImOp-Mix exhibits 38.5 cm3 g-1 CO2 uptake and a CO2/N2 selectivity of 69 (over 330 at 15 kPa). The synergistic effect of BzImOp, SP80 and [C6mim][Op] generates accessible 2-hydroxypyridinium ion chemisorption sites for high performance.
