Hierarchical integration of gold nanozymes with highly porous gold electrodes for enhanced non-enzymatic glucose sensing.

Integration of Au nanoparticle nanozymes with highly porous gold electrodes improves non-enzymatic glucose sensing, lowering the detection limit from ∼10 to ∼2 µM relative to planar AuNP electrodes. The enhanced low-concentration response is associated with the enlarged electroactive interface of the porous gold architecture. The platform also enables glucose determination in diluted human serum by standard addition.
