Pd-catalyzed denitrative C–N coupling of amides with nitroarenes enables direct, atom-economical access to N -aryl amides. Catalytic Al(OTf) 3 acts as a Lewis acid and suppresses BrettPhos oxidation, preserving the active Pd–phosphine species.
