Fully π-conjugated and sp 2 -carbon-conjugated donor–acceptor COFs Py-CN-BZTD and Py-CN-TZTZ deliver HER among the highest for COFs: 12 200 µmolg −1 h −1 (metal free) and 61 577 µmol g −1 h −1 (Pt-loaded).
