Enhancing valence-band charge localization <i>via</i> zinc doping into MnWO ₄ to promote selective ammonia electrooxidation

An atomically precise quantity of zinc( ii ) doping into the MnWO 4 lattice localizes the valence-band charge at the manganese sites to enhance the anodic capability and selectivity of the ammonia oxidation reaction (AOR) towards nitrate formation.
