Cyclic olefin derivatives of tetracyclododecene with different pendant groups were evaluated as photo-ROMP resins using a latent Ru precatalyst activated by a chlorinated thioxanthone (CPTX, 1-chloro-4-propoxythioxanthone) upon exposure to light.
