Three new hybrid halometallates, (C 8 H 14 N 2 ) 2 [Bi 2 Br 10 ]·2H 2 O (M4), (C 8 H 14 N 2 ) 3 [BiCl 6 ] 2 (M43), and (C 8 H 14 N 2 )[SbCl 5 ] (M41), have been comparatively investigated to establish comprehensive structure–property–function correlations.
