Mn-catalyzed hydroxyalkylation of α-trifluoromethylstyrenes with cyclopropanols: facile synthesis of δ-trifluoromethyl-δ-hydroxyketones

A concise and efficient hydroxyalkylation of cyclopropanols with α-(trifluoromethyl)alkenes enables the economic and green construction of valuable δ-trifluoromethyl-δ-hydroxyketones under mild conditions with broad substrate scope.
