The oriented preparation of 1D ultrafine bimetallic PtRu alloy nanowires in situ confined on 2D Ti 3 C 2 T x MXene nanosheets is realized by a solvothermal assembly strategy, which shows unusual electrocatalytic properties for methanol oxidation.
