This dataset provides paired single-cell morphology, whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology, and source histological slide imagery for juvenile rat neocortical neurons from the EPFL Laboratory of Neural Microcircuitry (LNMC, gathered by MT). The curated explorer subset spans 396 slices, with 244 3D morphological reconstructions, 641 whole-cell patch-clamp recordings, and 244 histological slide images. Recordings were acquired with a standardized current-clamp stimulus battery of 36 distinct protocols. Morphologies are stored in SWC, recordings in NWB plus decimated JSON, and slide imagery in JPEG, linked through a normalized cell identifier so that structure, function, and underlying histology can be analyzed for the same cells. The dataset is released as a FAIR2 Data Package with structured metadata, QUDT units, PROV-O provenance, and MLCommons Croissant conformance, intended for neuroscientists, modelers, and machine-learning researchers studying the relationship between cortical neuron morphology and intrinsic electrophysiological behavior.
