Ecosystemism is a new paradigm merging design with biology. It proposes shifting away from restoring historical coral reef forms which are unsustainable under future climate constraints toward regenerating the ecological functions that underpin resilience. Rather than structural mimicry, this approach scales refuge, flow modulation, and trophic support through advanced fabrication, biological insight, and monitoring.
