The dark side of Honorio Delgado.

Honorio Delgado is an esteemed figure associated with psychiatry and psychology in Peru and Latin America, for his contributions to psychoanalysis, the pharmacological treatment of some mental illness, the publication of journals, the organization and participation in academic events, the publication of research and books of great impact, and so forth. However, many of the historiographical works on his life and work have had an apologetic nature, neglecting aspects of his life that present us a dark side of this character. The objective of this article is to analyze briefly the various aspects that have been negatively observed in Honorio Delgado by people who have known him directly, as well as various documents that support such claims.
