Contemporary evidence for central nervous system mechanisms underlying chronic pain perception, modulation, and chronification in adults: a scoping review.

This scoping review used the Joanna Briggs Institute guidelines and the PRISMA extension for Scoping Reviews to support transparent reporting. The eligibility criteria, search strategy, and synthesis were guided by the Population-Concept-Context framework ( 1).
