This work investigated the influence of an external magnetic field on an MnCoP supercapacitor. The magnetic field improved charge transport through spin alignment in the electrode and induced magnetohydrodynamic convection in the electrolyte, enhancing ion diffusion. As a result, the specific capacitance increased from 25.9 to 105 F/g at a current density of 5 A/g under a 300 G magnetic field. Additionally, DFT simulations indicate that the magnetic field boosts charge storage efficiency in MnCoP by reducing the diffusion energy barrier for K + ions and increasing the quantum capacitance.
