• For biomedical applications, a tiny, miniature implanted antenna with dual band resonance and circular polarization has been proposed. • The entire dimension of the antenna is 6 × 6 × 1.27 mm 3 . it is the smallest among the literature. • Designed working at two crucial frequencies of 1.4 GHz and 2.4 GHz • In order to attain dual-band resonance, the shorting pin was used. • To Improve the antenna performance, the capacitor loaded ground slot is created. • To ensure the patient safety, the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) analysis was made and it observed that the results are satisfying IEEE safety standard guidelines. • Furthermore, for reliable communication the link margin analysis is done at two operating frequencies . A dual-band circularly polarized implanTable antenna with a compact, miniaturized design has been proposed for biomedical applications. The antenna operates in the WMTS (1.38 - 1.4 GHz) band and ISM (2.38 - 2.48 GHz) band. The proposed antenna is designed by using a circular-shaped patch placed in the center, four T-shaped patches attached to the center patch, a ground slot, a shorting pin, and a capacitor embedded in the ground plane. The entire dimension of the antenna is 6 × 6 × 1.27 m m 3 . In order to attain dual-band resonance, the shorting pin was used. Inverted L and plus-shaped ground slots work together to lower the axial ratio. At 2.4 GHz, CP is attained by loading the capacitor in the ground plane. The fabricated antenna is validated by using skin-mimicking gel, as well as minced pork meat. The tested results are well correlated with the simulated ones. To ensure patient safety, the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) analysis was made, and it was observed that the results satisfy IEEE safety standards guidelines. Furthermore, for reliable communication, the link margin analysis is done at two operating frequencies, i.e., at 1.4 GHz and at 2.4 GHz.
