A qualitative descriptive design with a naturalistic approach was employed to describe the influence of psychosocial and peer relationship factors on adolescent self-management of chronic conditions (Melton et al., 2025).Semi-structured individual interviews were conducted with adolescents (N = 24; 12-17 years; 54 % female; 67 % White, 21 % Black, 17 % Hispanic, 13 % Asian) with one or more chronic conditions from one children's hospital in the U.S. Following the interview, adolescent participants completed the PROMIS Pediatric Relationship (PPR-short form) survey.The sample represented 13 different chronic conditions, including arthritis, beta thalassemia, cystic fibrosis, dermatomyositis, epilepsy, inflammatory
