INTRODUCTION: Workplace safety is a fundamental organizational priority that ensures employees' psychological well-being for sustainable performance and productivity. Organizational support is crucial for tackling workplace violence and fosters employee and organizational outcomes.
METHODS: This cross-sectional study aimed to measure perceived organizational support and its association with workplace violence and employee outcomes using an online survey of 558 employees from 17 organizations in Saudi Arabia.
RESULTS: The findings showed that perceived organizational support was negatively associated with workplace violence, such as gender discrimination and perceived sexual harassment, and positively associated with employee outcomes, such as job satisfaction and intention to leave a job.
DISCUSSION: This study shows the value of organizational support in mitigating workplace violence across sectors and provides practical strategies to foster a healthy, supportive work environment.
