Candida auris is a multidrug-resistant fungal pathogen, that rapidly spreads within healthcare settings. Here, a acute myeloid leukemia patient undergoing chemotherapy was admitted to the intensive care unit. From the skin, C. auris was isolated and with whole genome sequencing allocated to clade V. Antifungal susceptibility testing showed azole and echinocandin resistance, with the presence of the ERG11 Y132F mutation, while FKS1 was wild-type. This report presents the first multidrug resistant C. auris clade V isolate.
