We read with interest the manuscript titled “Evaluation of alternative blood culture systems in detecting pathogenic bacteria: a multi-site, observational prospective study”.1 While the research question is of clear public health relevance, several methodological issues challenge the conclusion that MH and DL are “comparable” to bioMérieux.
