Methods for Development of AAGL Clinical Practice Guidelines.

The AAGL Practice Guideline Committee develops evidence-based clinical practice guidelines on topics of importance to complex benign gynecology and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. This document describes the role and responsibilities of the internal AAGL Practice Guideline team and the standardized process used to develop, review, approve, disseminate, and update AAGL practice guidelines. Its purpose is to promote methodological rigor, transparency, consistency, and accountability throughout guideline development.
