Gintonin administration to mice with hematopoietic injury induced by cyclophosphamide (CY) demonstrated that, gintonin promotes hematopoietic recovery as evidenced by restored count of blood cells, alleviated bone marrow suppression and reduced apoptosis of hematopoietic stem cells indicating the potential of gintonin as an adjunct therapeutic agent in chemotherapy.
