原始摘要(英文原文)· Original abstract
We report the genome characterization of carbapenem-resistant Salmonella enterica ST34 strain 142096, isolated from a patient with acute diarrhea. Sequencing produced a 5.21 Mb draft genome and identified blaNDM-5 plus multiple resistance determinants, consistent with elevated MICs for cefotaxime, levofloxacin, imipenem, and meropenem. A time-scaled phylogeny of 857 public STconsistent with 34 genomes placed 142096 in a China-enriched clade emerging in the mid-2000s. Comparative genomics revealed a clade-associated 2.9 kb deletion spanning srlA, srlB, and srlE, suggesting metabolic streamlining. These findings highlight a recently diversified multidrug-resistant ST34 lineage requiring One Health genomic surveillance and targeted antimicrobial stewardship.
