A Multidimensional Perspective Review of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Treating Ovarian Aging.

Ovarian aging represents a complex biological process involving the gradual decline of female reproductive system function, primarily manifested as diminished ovarian reserve, hormonal imbalance, and reduced fertility. This significantly impacts women's health and quality of life. With increasing societal pressures and delayed childbearing trends in modern society, ovarian aging has become an increasingly prominent issue, necessitating effective intervention strategies. Traditional Chinese medicine, characterized by its multi-component, multi-target regulatory properties, has shown potential in alleviating ovarian functional decline, improving hormone levels, and delaying aging. This paper systematically summarizes the typical phenotypic characteristics of ovarian aging and its detection methods, reviews advances in animal model development and experimental techniques, and delves into the molecular mechanisms and key gene targets of traditional Chinese medicine regulation of ovarian aging. It focuses on evaluating the therapeutic effects and mechanisms of representative traditional Chinese herbs and formulas in improving ovarian function and delaying aging. By integrating the latest basic and clinical research findings, this paper aims to provide a scientific theoretical foundation and future research directions for traditional Chinese medicine treatment of ovarian aging, thereby contributing to the further development of traditional Chinese medicine in the field of female reproductive health.
