The Turkish Version of the Nurse Team Resilience Scale: Emergency Nurses.

INTRODUCTION: Emergency nurses are frequently exposed to heavy workloads, unpredictable clinical events, and significant emotional strain. Team resilience plays a critical role in maintaining staff well-being, strengthening collaboration, and improving patient safety. This study aimed to adapt the Nurse Team Resilience Scale into Turkish and evaluate its psychometric properties among emergency nurses in Türkiye. METHODS: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with 162 emergency nurses. Linguistic adaptation followed forward-backward translation, expert consensus, and pilot-testing procedures. Content validity was assessed using the Davis technique and the Content Validity Index. Construct validity was examined through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Reliability was evaluated using Cronbach alpha, test-retest correlation, and item-total correlations. RESULTS: All items demonstrated strong content validity (item-level content validity index = 0.83-1.00; scale-level content validity index = 0.92). Exploratory factor analysis revealed a single-factor structure with an eigen value of 6.18, explaining 77.28% of the total variance. Confirmatory factor analysis indicated an acceptable model fit (χ2/degree of freedom = 2.27; root mean square error of approximation = 0.08; comparative fit index = 0.98). Cronbach alpha was 0.95, test-retest reliability was 0.85, and item-total correlations ranged from 0.77 to 0.90. DISCUSSION: The Turkish version of the Nurse Team Resilience Scale is a valid and reliable instrument for assessing team resilience among emergency nurses. Measuring team resilience may support improved coordination, reduce human error, and enhance well-being in emergency care settings.
