ESIC Series: Paper 2 Applying the Double Diamond Model and Co-design Principles to the Evidence Synthesis Infrastructure Collaborative (ESIC) planning process.

This paper explores the use of the Double Diamond model within the Evidence Synthesis Infrastructure Collaborative (ESIC), a global initiative aimed at transforming the production and use of evidence synthesis across sectors and geographies. Building on the foundational work of the Global Evidence Commission and the SHOW ME the Evidence framework, this methodology underpinned ESIC's planning approach from inception through execution. We discuss the origins of the Double Diamond model, its relevance to academic innovation, and its structured application in ESIC alongside a complementary co-design approach.
