Mapping the science of aesthetic emotions.

In this review, we trace the current state of research on aesthetic emotion in empirical aesthetics. Taking several theoretical contributions as a starting point, we highlight empirical studies that recently added to our knowledge in the field. Furthermore, we also highlight where the majority of recent work has been done, and which questions remain open.
