Debriefing is a structured, shared reflection practice originally developed in military and aviation and increasingly adopted within healthcare, notably in anaesthesia.1,2 Unlike psychological crisis interventions that focus primarily on emotional stabilization after traumatic events, structured team debriefings aim explicitly to facilitate team-based learning from recent experiences, particularly critical incidents.3 At the same time, routine structured debriefings can still provide valuable opportunities for peer support, helping to identify colleagues in need of additional follow-up or psychological assistance.
