BACKGROUND: Clinical nurses are particularly vulnerable to stress and psychological distress during public health emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Workplace resilience is vital for mental health and professional functioning. Mobile app-based interventions offer accessible and flexible support in clinical practice. Such approaches may facilitate scalable support for healthcare workers in dynamic and high-demand settings. Clinical nurses face significant mental health challenges in the post-pandemic context, yet evidence on scalable, technology-driven interventions remains limited. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness of the Mobile Application Nurses' Workplace Resilience Program (MANWRP) in enhancing workplace resilience and mental health among clinical nurses in the post-pandemic context. METHODS: A quasi-experimental repeated-measures design was adopted. In total, 178 nurses from a medical center in northern Taiwan were assigned to either an experimental group (n = 90) or a control group (n = 88). The experimental group participated in a 6-month MANWRP, whereas the control group did not. Workplace resilience, self-efficacy, and depression were assessed at baseline, month 3, and month 6. Data were analyzed using generalized estimating equations. RESULTS: Participants had a mean age of 40.2 years, and 98.3% (n = 175) were female. By month 6, the experimental group showed greater improvements than controls in workplace resilience (B = 5.44, p < .05), self-efficacy (B = 2.50, p < .05), and depression reduction (B = -4.15, p < .05). CONCLUSIONS: The MANWRP effectively promoted workplace resilience and mental health, supporting its potential for integration into emergency preparedness and workforce well-being strategies. Reporting method: TREND.
