原始摘要(英文原文)· Original abstract
Aqueous Zn-ion batteries (AZIBs) have emerged as highly promising candidates for large-scale energy storage systems, owing to their intrinsic safety, economic viability, and ecological compatibility. Biomimetic design plays a pivotal role in advancing scalable, durable, and high-performance AZIBs by adopting nature-inspired strategies to overcome critical challenges. Nevertheless, there is currently no systematic review that comprehensively addresses biomimetic design strategies for AZIBs. This paper begins with a concise overview of the concepts and principles for biomimetic design. Then, the inherent advantages of applying biomimetic strategies to aqueous batteries are critically elaborated. Subsequently, the latest interdisciplinary research advancements in biomimetic design for AZIBs are illustrated. This discussion culminates in the comprehensive summary and forward-looking perspectives, highlighting potential future directions and challenges in this burgeoning field. In conclusion, this review comprehensively contributes to exploring and promoting cross-disciplinary progress in the field of AZIBs. This review systematically explores how biomimetic design strategies can advance aqueous Zn-ion batteries by addressing key challenges, while providing a comprehensive overview and future perspectives for this emerging field. • An approach bridging the knowledge gap between biomimetic design and aqueous Zn-ion batteries (AZIBs) is established. • An overview of optimization strategies including structural biomimicry, material biomimicry, and functional biomimicry in AZIBs is systematically delineated. • The challenges and prospects of biomimetic AZIBs from multiple dimensions are evaluated.
