Abstract This study investigates the research trends in the emerging field of Educational Neuroscience. A total of 528 articles published during and after the Covid − 19 period, available in the OpenAlex database have been analysed. Annual trends in publications and citations, as well as the most influential authors, organisations, and countries, have been examined. Furthermore, the collaboration network between authors and countries has been analysed to understand patterns of scholarly collaboration. To better understand research trends, keyword co-occurrences and term co-occurrences (hotspot analysis) have been employed to map the field’s thematic structure. VOSviewer software is employed for network visualisation analysis. This study indicates that educational neuroscience research exhibits a limited but growing body of publications with concentrated thematic and collaborative patterns, suggesting scope for further systematic and theoretically informed investigations.
