ABSTRACT Porous liquids (PLs) are a new type of porous material that combines the characteristics of porous solid materials and flowing liquids. Since the first report on the synthesis of PL in 2015, it has shown enormous potential for application in the field of CO 2 catalytic conversion. Considering the current lack of a summary on PLs specifically used for the application of catalytic conversion, it is urgent and necessary to conduct a review and in‐depth discussion on this application. In this min‐review, we begin by outlining the fundamental concepts and design principles of PLs. And then, the development of four types of PLs according to their categories is discussed, respectively. Next, the focus of this mini‐review is on the summary of PLs currently applied for catalytic conversion, mainly including photocatalytic hydrogen evolution, hydrogenation catalysis, CO 2 cycloaddition reaction, CO 2 photo‐reduction, respectively. Finally, the development status and challenges of PLs for catalytic conversion are summarized and prospected.
