The Jed Foundation's JED Campus program has received the Impact Verified designation from the Impact Genome Registry, a global database of standardized social impact data that includes more than 2.2 million nonprofits and social programs, according to a news release. The independent review rated the quality of evidence supporting JED Campus as “very extensive,” placing it above 97% of comparable programs. Launched in 2013, JED Campus is a four‐year partnership that helps colleges and universities strengthen mental health promotion and suicide prevention efforts through a comprehensive, campus‐wide approach. More than 550 colleges and universities have participated in the program, reaching over 6.9 million students. According to a 2024 JED report, schools that completed the program demonstrated significant improvements in student mental health outcomes. Students were 10% less likely to report suicidal ideation in the previous year, 13% less likely to report making a suicide plan and 25% less likely to report a suicide attempt compared with baseline measures. JED officials said the third‐party validation provides donors, grant makers and investors with greater confidence that the program's outcomes are supported by rigorous, evidence‐based evaluation.
