Synthesis of Functionalized Pyrrolo[1,2‐ <i>a</i> ]pyrimidin‐4‐one via Copper‐Catalyzed Domino Annulation/Ring Expansion

A copper‐catalyzed annulation of oxime acetates with pyrrole scaffolds bearing α , β ‐unsaturated carbonyl groups was developed for the construction of pyrrolo[1,2‐ a ]pyrimidinone scaffolds. The key steps in this cascade process include a [3 + 2] spiroannulation, in situ oxidation, followed by rearrangement.
