In patients undergoing alcohol septal ablation for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, complete atrioventricular block can be delayed and recurrent. A semi-permanent pacemaker serves as an effective bridging therapy, allowing for extended monitoring of conduction recovery and may spare selected patients from permanent device implantation.
